QPR up next at the Swansea.com Stadium tomorrow.
They beat Hull 3-1 on Tuesday night for their third win of the season to go ninth in the table.
Ex-Swan loanee Ethan Laird was on the scoresheet for QPR.
Another ex-Swan loanee Cyrus Christie made his debut for Hull.
In the last match of 21-22 season sub Andre Gray scored an 80th minute winner in another late defensive lapse at home by the Swans.
A last gasp 91st minute goal by Stoke meant we shared the points on Wednesday night.
Here’s hoping for a change in fortune and a first home win of the season, but it won’t be easy.

No fresh injury concerns for QPR after back to back wins over Watford and Hull.
Teenage midfielder Tim Iroegbunam could make his R’s debut after arriving on loan from Aston Villa.
New head-coach Mick Beale said:
“We're delighted with the two wins we've picked up this week and it's important now that we quickly focus on Saturday's game at Swansea.
If your forwards are hot, which obviously Chris Willock and Ilias Chair have been in the past few games, it makes a hell of a difference.
That's been the key thing for us so far this season. Against Blackpool and Rotherham, we didn't take our chances. But against Middlesbrough, Watford and Hull we were ruthless in the penalty boxes and that's the difference.
I'm sure Russell Martin is thinking the same, because they're very good between both penalty boxes."

If you thought we were unlucky with last minute goals, check last night’s Championship action between West Brom v Burnley.
Burnley took the lead with a Rodriguez penalty in the 30th minute, but West Brom equalised in the 98th minute to stop Burnley going top of the table.
Burnley had two ex-Swans playing, Connor Roberts and Jack Cork.
West Brom had ex-Swan Kyle Bartley.

Today’s team:

Swans: Steven Benda, Kyle Naughton, Nathan Wood, Ben Cabango, Ryan Manning, Joe Allen, Matt Grimes (c), Matty Sorinola, Ollie Cooper, Jamie Paterson, Joel Piroe.
Subs: Andy Fisher, Jay Fulton, Harry Darling, Luke Cundle, Liam Cullen, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Fin Stevens.

First shock of the team selection was Benda replacing Fisher, second shock no Obafemi.
Fulton and Darling dropped to the bench joining Fisher.
Ntcham not even making the bench.

Swans 1 - QPR 0
Piroe 21’ (assist Cooper)
46% - 54%
First game of the season we’ve conceded the possession stats and we win.
Swans won a penalty on 16’ but Piroe’s shot was saved.
Through ball from Cooper for Piroe to save face and fire home.
This was a match where we played 4-5-1 and rarely played out from the back. It was a continuation of the Stoke game where we got stuck in and fought for every ball. Cooper was everywhere and led by example, we didn’t miss Obafemi at all.
Cullen came on as sub and within a few minutes he dislocated his shoulder. The three young loanees all made their debuts and looked promising.
There was tension at the end, everybody aware of our tendency to concede soft last minute goals, but we held out for our first home win of the season, egged on by the very vocal Jacks.
Stand out players Benda and Cooper.

Obafemi not in the right frame of mind to play today, after three failed bids from Burnley on transfer deadline day, revealed Martin after the match.
A lot of Swans fans are venting their anger at Obafemi on social media..
