Swans v Forest 23 Jan 2021 3pm (live on BBC One Wales)
It’s a break from league action again as we take on Forest in the FA Cup Fourth Round at the Liberty. The big prize on offer is a home tie in the next round against the winners of Cheltenham v Man City.
Forest have been improving since head coach Sabri Lamouchi was replaced by Chris Hughton last October and were unbeaten in their last six league games before last night’s 1-2 home defeat to Middlesboro. Their Portuguese left-back Yuri Ribeiro's was sent off in injury time after appearing to stamp on George Saville.
Swans mid-week match at Blackburn on Tuesday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch after they had already travelled up the day before. They are on a bit of a roll results wise with 4 wins and a draw in their last 6 games and only 3 goals conceded.
Reinforcements are arriving to boost the Swans squad after three loanees were recalled by their parent clubs. Goalkeeper Ben Hamer has signed from Huddersfield to replace Steven Benda who will be out injured long term and yesterday highly rated midfielder Conor Hourihane signed on loan from Aston Villa for the rest of the season. Apparently a loan deal has also been agreed for MLS Seattle Sounders prolific striker Jordan Morris, but it may be too late for him to play at the weekend.
