Starting XI v Barrow?

A good opportunity to reach the third round, and potentially a lucrative draw. Barrow may be third in League Two, but Doncaster are fifth.

I think we will field a strong team, although we don't have that many players fit enough to come in. Perhaps an opportunity to try Roughan at (left) centre-half alongside O'Connor, drop struggling TJ and see whether we are more solid with Poole at RB.

If Gilbey is not signed in time, or is cup-tied, I'd give three at the back a go:-

Wright
O'Connor Poole Roughan
Benn Sorensen Sanders Bishop Robson
Garrick Hopper Vernam

although both Robson and Bishop would be very fortunate to keep their places after today.

If not three at the back, I'd agree with Scotimp and move Poole to right back.
 
Considering he was on the bench, and considering the game was well gone, I wondered why Vernam didn’t get a run out on Saturday. With scully subbed off and maguire permanently suspended, will he finally get an appearance in this one?
