Bellamy's a **** but was a key component of the side that did so well under Sir Bobby. Souness has turned into a pretty good pundit, he talks a good game but he can't manage a side to play one. His man management was that of a bully ruling by a policy of fear. He took over a side with some of the best young players around and destroyed it. Anyone that disagreed was bombed out.
Funny how good managers might have a little problem with a "difficult character" but they are nearly always able to cope with them long term for the good of the team. You will always get exceptional headcases like Balotelli/Suarez/Barton who leave gaffers with little choice. Souness though couldn't handle/manage/moved on Bellamy, Robert, Jenas, Hughes, Kluivert, O'Brien, Butt, Viana, Milner and Bernard. Even disregarding Bellamy and Robert look at some of the others. Hughes was a model pro as was Milner , Jenas was the young player of the year in 03/04.Butt went on to do a job for both Birmingham and came back to still do a job for us .
