What is it about Swansea managers past and present that attracts the top clubs? We seem to be top of the tree at selecting and grooming managers for other clubs.
Graham Potter was named the new manager of Chelsea on Thursday, signing a five-year-deal with the West London club worth £50 million and ending his three-year stint at Brighton.
The shortlist for the resulting head-coach vacancy at the Amex Stadium reportedly includes Steve Cooper and Russell Martin.
It’s noted though that all three mentioned could not get us back to the Premier League during their time here, probably due to our parsimonious owners rather than their coaching ability.
Roberto Martinez managed Everton and is presently the Belgium national team manager.
Brendan Rodgers got the Swans promoted to the PL and moved on to manage Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester.
Bruno Lage is head-Coach at Wolves, remember he was assistant to Carlos Carvalhal here during our PL days.
