Football will always take precedence over this minority sport. In global sporting terms it barely registers. In fact it barely registers in egg shaped sports. They’ll have to play on the Sunday or play at Leigh. Either way I couldn’t give a shit. They haven’t paid the going rate for use of the stadium over the years and it’s rumoured the Council are now subsiding their rent, on the back of gifting them the athletics stadium. I only hope the new rent deal is subject to annual rises linked to inflation.
