Score Predictions v Crewe Alexandra

2-0 Imps. Odds swung in our favour by the Crewe keeper, Will Jaaskelainen, playing for Finland U21 team the night before.

Cannot see us getting anything, still celebrating their promotion, lose 4-0. Bound to win now !

3-1 Lincoln

No cathedral, castle or university; but better station: good for train spotters.

Expect a successful “run around” for MApp’s men.

Pre season has finished, now we get down to the real stuff. I think we should be taking this competition seriously because you can be in the 4th round with a wad of cash in the bank at the beginning of October.
Crewe have already played a dozen or so games but some of the opposition have been questionable particularly the game against the mighty Whitchurch Airport!!
Crewe won 8-0, not sure about the viewing figures for that one!
I think the game will be a pass fest between the two 18 yard boxs by two teams who will look good in possession but wont actually create a lot. (Hope I'm wrong there, about us). Personally I hope Anderson plays because he is one of the only players we have that will run at players and take them on and if he does get some crosses in then I expect Hopper and Scully to be challenging in the box. This is for real, it starts now no matter who is available for selection, not in 3 or 4 games time and we need to get into the second round and take the confidence of a victory into the following weeks first game of the season.

think we may just squeeze a 2-1 result, still got a GK & S to come in,and trialist A who MA will apparently sign, maybe clean sheet 2-0, looking forward to a really good season.

come on boys

If Morton and Palmer are both here and start, 2-1 Lincoln.

If neither plays, 2-1 Crewe.

All other options, 1-1 and Lincoln win on penalties.

a game every 2/3 days there. and two games in one day. either they have a big squad, or some of those games are their u23s

All were first team fixtures - their development team has been playing its own schedule of matches.

Crewe played another one yesterday - a 1-1 draw at Kidsgrove. Twelve pre-season games is a hell of a lot even with a large squad, that could come back to bite them as the season progresses. The majority of L1 clubs have played five or six games.

Wow that is a lot of games. Seem to remember us doing it one season, could of been under George Kerr, when we played lots of games against the likes of Brigg Town and Horncastle Town ect.

Crewe have played the equivalent of a quarter of a seasons games already.
Like you say could catch up with them later on.
