Rotherham v Swansea Sat 9 Dec 15:00

Five matches without a win now as we slip down the table and struggle to arrest the slide.

Its next to bottom in the table Rotherham away up next.

Rotherham was named after the river Rother which runs through the town. The fourth fixture in a row we play a team from Yorkshire and it’s The Millers of South Yorkshire, who’s ground is just six miles from the city of Sheffield.

They sacked their manager Matt Taylor three weeks ago and have interim manager Wayne Carlisle, who was Taylor’s number two, in temporary charge.
His three matches so far have produced two draws and a defeat, and a new manager is expected to be announced within the next few days.

The Millers have only won two of their nine home matches at the New York Stadium, but conversely have only lost two of those, drawing five including the recent 1-1 draw against Leeds.

No easy match in the Championship and this will be another big test for us. Having said that, Rotherham have only one win in their last ten matches, surely we can get something from this one then?

0 -1 45’ Patino, in off his shoulder

HT: 0-1
All Rotherham first ten minutes
After the sending off it was all Swansea with the numerical advantage. Key beating his man on the right every time. Bolasie fairly quiet on the left, one header over the bar. Great shot from Lowe tipped over the bar. Darling 30 yard shot finger-tipped over the bar.
