I was wondering that too. Surely it should gave come into play. Sky were showing loads of reruns of it, so why wasn’t it picked by the officials to overrule. Cue another change in the rules - make sure if the goalline technology fails, (refs dodgy watch), then it must go to VAR.

Tech can fail, the officials on the pitch can have their view obscured........but that was so freaking obvious that VAR’s failure to intervene is massively suspicious.

All things being equal....if Villa are saved from relegation by a point or GD or Sheffield United Fail to qualify for Europe by a point etc.......
