Dr thinks it is a bad injury and looks like ligament damage. If that is the case he is fucked for a big chunk of the season.

'We have to wait tomorrow. We are concerned there is a ligament problem. The ankle is very swollen. We'll get a scan tomorrow and see.'

He did say that Rhodes is feeling okay and seems to think it's a twisted ankle.

Could be out for a few games what ever the case......Get Nelson on the phone.

Pukki also picked up a knock so coukd miss Saturday game.

I'd actually give idah a go on Saturday.
 
Are these stupid friendlies worth it ? It effed us up with Piltchard last season and now this season with Rhodes .Well done
 
Pukki also got an injury. DF said his sock/boot was full of blood and foot look nasty.
 
So at last we got a reputable striker to start the season and he gets crocked during pre season. These games are meant to get the players fit for the real thing but they are very risky. Hope Rhodes isn’t going to turn into a Jarvis. Worrying.
 
Training with the team still Steve but just not playing. DF obviously doesn't like him or his attitude.
 
He is a fool . He could have been great for us or earnt himself a big money move to the Prem. Instead he has allowed his attitude to stunt his career
 
No news on the Rhodes scan? Had it yesterday....is no news good news?

Agreed YB. Last summer oliveira was being labelled one of the most dangerous championship forwards and had premiership offers coming in. I think it all went to shit that day at Fulham. To be fair I'd be pissed off too. The offers came in and club rejected and then bloody Jerome is ahead of you. Any way it's done but he is now an expensive player to have doing nothing.

also getting late to sell him and possibly buy a replacement.
 
This is becoming the story of recent times under the management of DF and useless Neil before him ....namely expensive players being bought , then not used , too many highly expensive flops bought who are not played yet take massive wages , too many good young lads who are ‘our own’ who are sent on loan , come back , have their confidence destroyed and are then given away for nothing . While all this is going on we play , at the best , average footballers with little passion ,giving us a lowly 14th finish in the Championship
 
When Bailey and Paddy D were having one of their forums they were saying players like Naismith on 50k, Jarvis on 35k a week, Oliveira now highest paid so must be at least 38k/40k, McGovern on a wage of around 20k and Martin on that too.

That is a lot of players who aren't playing on high wages for doing sod all.

Do we all think the club will offer Klose a Tetty like contract? one year extension with lower wages or will they look to sell in Jan/summer? getting Godfrey lined up as a replacement
