Ok so the big game tomorrow is being reffed by the familiar face of Eddie Iddlerton who so far has had good reviews, but can he keep it up? Jules has prepared his usual fayre https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/...t-this-week-lincoln-city-v-yeovil-town.80479/

I assume John Brooks at 3.32 is an average over his two games. The Wycombe game I am sure it was a 'fantastic' 1.71.

Nothing too controversial so 6/10 but interesting fan footage from behind the goal when their keeper collapsed to the floor (the 1st time), has a keeper been booked for simulation before?

6/10 bang average but yet again the lino on the Coop side made interesting decisions!

I'm with the rest of you, did ok I suppose, but for me all the 50/50 decisions seemed to go against us

6/10

6/10, average, made some attempt to stop time wasting before we scored, then both lots were at it ! As said, lino Co op side very dodgy.

7/10.

Thought he did ok. Tried to let the game flow and got into their full backs early on for timewasting.

Not bad at all - 7/10.

He did allow Yeovil to waste a lot of time. Referees no longer seem to book offenders, preferring to add time on at the end of the half. That probably comes straight from the zombies at FIFA, and is as idiotic as the majority of their directives. Adding time on does not compensate for the loss of momentum and intensity in a game, which is one of Lincoln's key attributes. All it does is give the offending side (often Lincoln) another 5 minutes in which to continue disrupting the flow of the game. Yellow cards are a much better way of dealing with it because it would stop it immediately and give the spectators a better game to watch.

On a similar subject, exactly what role do linesmen/lineswomen (sorry FIFA, assistant referee is dumb) play in the running of the game nowadays? The majority only ever seem to give throw-in and corner decisions, and very seldom try to notify the referee of much else. It was striking on Saturday how many fouls - particularly on Rhead - must have been visible to the linesman on the Co-op side, yet he did nothing about it. If we can see what is happening, surely the linesman standing directly in front of us can? Are they told to be good little boys and girls, and not bother the poor referee with their silly flagging?

Anderson got fouled not long after he game on, on the Selenity side of the penalty area in front of the SW.

Ref blew for a foul, linesman a GK!

Thought the ref was OK got most of the big calls right imo. The linesmen let him down on a few occasions. The co-op one gave a throw in to Yeovil when it obviously came off one of their players on the way out. 6/10

Thought he was a competent unfussy ref who let the game flow where he could. Don't remember much about his mannerisms which is always a good sign so a solid 7 from I.

Apart from the recent Bostwick sending off ! which he got wrong.
