Vital Football Legend
Six points behind the play-offs with all those home games to come - P10 W7 D1 L2 so far - and both those home defeats came during Jamie's brief tenure. We have the eighth best home record in the division in terms of points earned, but only Wycombe (2.30), Oxford (2.30) and Coventry (2.25) have won more points per game than our 2.20.

It is also the first time since 1975-76 that we have had three 10,000+ attendances at home league games, and the first time since that same season that we have had two in a row.

What shocking times we are witnessing. Appleton out!

6.0 is the par score etc.

Deadline is 5pm on Friday.

From an IFollow perspective of replays with the occasional bit of live footage........

Vickers 7 Confident display in controlling his area. Did seem to be trying to throw the ball to Toffolo or Eardley a bit more. Blameless for the goal
Eardley 7.5 Very positive at both ends of the pitch
Bostwick 6.5 Pretty dominant but loses a point for gifting them their goal. He's allowed the occasional lapse though
Bolger 7 Very solid against a potent attack
Toffolo 8 Supported the attack down the left constantly. Excellent from start to finish

O Connor 7 Unspectacular but solid. Did seem to get an early kick in the base of the back again which slowed him up
Morrell 10 Posted in the match thread this would be my mark. That was simply magnificent and possibly the best central midfield performance I've seen in over four decades as an Imp. His time with the Welsh national team has added an extra dimension to his passing and couple that with his tenacity in the tackle you have a player who will play at the very top in this game

Anderson 7 Lots of usual energy and effort
Hesketh 7 Linked well with Walker and worked hard up until being taken off
Grant 8.5 Superb free kick and lots of invention throughout. Better in the middle of the park in my opinion where he makes a bit of time for himself

Walker 7.5 Tireless running. A little fortunate with the goal but also forced Pym into a great save in the first half

Payne 7 Lots of effort and energy and contributed to the second half comeback
Akinde 7 Instant contribution with the assist to Walker. Kept Posh busy at the back and good game management once we'd gone into the lead

Vickers - 8 - Back to his best for me
Eardley - 7 - Many (including me) have had doubts about if he can still do the business at this level but a classic performance today
Bostwick - 8.5 - Heads, kicks, tackles. We have a 63% win record and 50% clean sheet record when he's played over 45 minutes.
Bolger - 6 - It feels harsh criticising his ballplaying as it's obviously something MA demands
Toffolo - 8 - He's the business isn't he, amazed if we're not already fending off offers
O'Connor - 6 - Steady but not as dominant as he can be against v. good opposition
Anderson - 7 - Very very unlucky not to score, would have been well deserved again too
Morrell - 7.5 - Terrier with a lot of ability going forwards too. Will be very hard to replace even if it is in summer
Grant - 8 - He drifts in and out, that's the kind of player he is. Today it showed why you keep a player like that in
Hesketh - 6.5 - Good workrate on the lad, struggled with a lack of opportunities a bit today
Walker - 7.5 - Scores goals, works very hard for the team. Will also be very hard to replace even if it is in summer

Payne - 7 - Bright, created a goal that was chalked off (still not entirely sure why?) and fouled for the free-kick.
Akinde - 8 - When he's confident he can still do the business

Vickers - 6.5
Eardley - 7

Vickers - solid, much more confident, 7.0
Eardley - got up and down well, good crosses into box, 7.5
Bostwick - hate this passing out stuff from the back, a few wayward passes, a few great ones putting their flying winger into row Z. 6.5
Bolger - Solid, 7.0
Toffolo - great energy, always a danger going forward, 8.5
O'Connor - usual combative self, 6.5
Anderson, - got more into the game in last 30, ran at a tiring team, 7.5
Morrell - defence splitting passes in abundance, ran at them, 9.0
Grant - best I have seen him, better in the centre, great free kick, 8.0
Hesketh - tireless running, did not go for him, 6.5
Walker - lead the line really well, great hit for the goal, 8.0

Akinde - gave them more to think about, better support for Walker, a real handful -7.5
Payne - got into the game towards the end, 6.5

Vickers 7 much more like it today.
Eardley 7.5 quality again
Toffolo 8 contract extension asap please
Bolger 6 good heading it and clearing but terrible with ball at his feet
Bostwick 7 that tackle on Maddison woke us up
O'Connor 7 solid
Morrell 9 just superb drove forward at every opportunity, just hope he's still here after January 31st, nice shithousery too.
Grant 8 much more like the player I remember playing for Notts on loan, wonderful free kick to win it.
Anderson 7 decent linking up with Eardley
Hesketh 7 not as good as Sunday but another good showing from him.
Walker 7 deserved his goal for his hard work , another one we need to keep beyond January 31st.
Payne 6.5 won the all important free kick but still appears to get knocked off the ball too easily, needs to get on the weights lol!
Akinde 7 huge contribution when he came on, really knocked their two centre backs out of their comfort zone.

Vickers 7 seemed to be in control of most things
Eardley 7.5 up and down, crossing, top player
Bostwick 7 both teams didn't look too comfortable playing it out from the back but defensive duties were carried out with aplomb
Bolger 7 defensively sound..
Toffolo 8 great game, like Eards on the right marauding up the left hand side
O'Connor 7 quiet but strong in the centre
Anderson 7.5 Harry carried on from Ipswich and ran his socks off
Morrell 9 the mid field general
Grant 8.5 sprayed the ball about all game and the bells were ringing out when the free kick went in
Hesketh 6.5 thought he was okay in 1st half, stronger upper body
Walker 8 danger man, predator and has been grand when we've give him the ball

Payne 7 always tenacious
Akinde 7.5 has been a handful, at Cov, Oxford and today, when he's come on

Watched back on iFollow.

Vickers: 6 Not a great deal to do, so can be no more than a par performance. Some wayward kicking at times - I reckon it has a lot to do with his remodelled kicking action, so understandable in that context if not ideal.
Eardley: 7 Good attacking performance, was almost on the right wing at times. Failed to close Toney down sufficiently for the goal, though.
Bostwick: 7 A few misplaced passes but always committed.
Bolger: 6.5 Ridiculous yellow card, the player had lost the ball before falling feebly to the ground.
Toffolo: 8 So much energy and unlucky not to score.
O'Connor: 6.5 Made a couple of crunching tackles and had done nothing wrong; however, an excellent tactical substitution.
Anderson: 7 All-action stuff, although the end product still needs work.
Morrell: 8.5 Far too good for L1, completely ran the midfield. Unfortunately half a mark off for the mishit pass that led to their goal. On the evidence of their respective performances yesterday, anyone who believes Woodyard would be a good replacement for Morrell is crazy.
Grant: 7.5 Such a good touch on the ball and a deadly free kick. Nice of Pym to give him half the goal to aim for, though.
Hesketh: 7 Getting better with every game, presses and harries constantly.
Walker: 7 Another goal, and is visibly happier with the support and service he is now getting from Hesketh in particular.

Payne: 7 Helped drive Peterborough back and had one good effort on goal.
Akinde: 7 An assist 38 seconds after coming on, and had what looked like a perfectly good goal disallowed.

Via iFollow:-
Vickers - 7 - unsighted and wrong footed for goal, sound and good dsitribution
Eardley - 7 - usual Eards, committed, connected well with Harry A
Bostwick - 7.5 - bar the goal, helped keep a potent attack at bay
Bolger - 7 - as Bozzie, nearly had the winner
Toffolo - 8 - started relatively slowly, rampage down the wing for Vicker's clearance got him going and gave Posh defence nightmares. Unluclky to hit post. Ridiculous amounts of energy
O'Connor - 6.5 - good first half in battle for midfield control, brave of MA to make the change
Anderson- 7 - hard working and mainly effective
Morrell - 8.5 - bossed the game, pretty well only loose pass of the day, albeit from a difficult postion, led to the posh goal; streetwise for the red card, any critics of that - how would Madison have reacted in the same circumstance?
Grant - 8.5 - best game as an Imp capped by stunning winner, effective both on wing and even more in CM, workrate much improved
Hesketh - 6.5 - not up to standards v Ipswich but hard working and skilful, benefitting from being closer to Walker
Walker - 8.5 - worked the Posh backline, linked well with Hesketh and Akinde, always dangerous when in sight of goal

Payne - 7 - nearly scored with a header! Won free kick for winning goal, still inclined to make the wrong decisions though
Akinde -8- set up Walker's goal, real handful for the Posh defence
