Rushworth 6 Little to do, but did it well. One excellent long throw to Diamond.

Poole 5 Regan is starting to play like he knows he is leaving soon. Still decent defensively.
Jackson 6 Solid against a poor MKD attack
O'Connor 6 Solid against a poor MKD attack
Boyes 5 Still needs time to settle in as he had a couple of bad moments in defense. One good cross when he did get forward.

Sorensen 5 Plenty of running as usual mixed with a couple of decent interceptions. No offensive threat.
Sanders. 4. Not sure what has happened to Sanders since the Soton game. Apart from one good pass to Mandroui first half, no offensive threat whatsoever and awful set pieces
Bishop 4 Gave no reason why he should be a starter, and with our dire lack of quality in midfield, that says a lot. No offensive threat.

Mandroiu 5. A couple of neat touches but, as has been the case in just about every game he has played, he does not get into the game enough.
Diamond 6.5 Our only attacking threat. Still dribbled until he lost the ball, but at least got a couple of shots away this time.
Hopper 5 Does what Hopper always does - challenges and chases. But he must be thoroughly sick of playing on his own every game with nobody close to him.

Shodipo 5 Not on long enough to get an impression, but looks similar to Garrick to me. Too early to judge though.

I am about three months late in saying it compared to others, but on the basis of the last two games, this is the poorest City team I have watched since before the Cowleys arrived. There are some good individuals amongst the eleven, but they are just not a team.

Rushworth 6 Virtually unemployed for 90 minutes

Poole 6.5 Was putting himself about as normal and tried to get things going down the right.
O'Connor 6 Did what was needed
Jackson 6 See O'Connor
Boyes 6 Did okay. Nice to see him on inswinging corners on the right and one was a peach. Promising. Clearly uses his right foot for standing on only

Sorensen 6 Much of Lasse's work goes unnoticed. Covered for both full backs when they went forward. Clearly a water-carrier though
Sanders 4 First corner very nearly worked thanks to a good flick on. After that all corners on that side were awful. The free kick which didn't clear their first defender in the 89th minute was just shockingly bad
Bishop 6 Couple of decent runs first half caused them some problems. Tired. Playing wide right (which despite some views is where he was playing) meant he couldn't get involved that much
Mandroiu 6 Playing centrally did make many runs which were not seen by others. Not great but needs to be persisted in that position
Diamond 6.5 Our most likely to score today. Some good runs. Others into cul-de-sacs

Hopper 5 It pains me to consider that the long term injuries suffered by Tom has diluted his game now. Willing as ever but what used to stick now doesn't. Won very little in the air.

Shodipo 6 Early days so no real assessment possible. A generous par taking into account he's only been here 24 hours

Rushworth. 7. Didn’t put a foot wrong. Made one save, excellent long throw nearly created a goal threat and good distribution.
Poole. 5. Defended ok but his passing was shocking. I would guess less than a 50% success rate.
Jackson. 6. Overall very good but a near suicidal pass to an opposition striker could have been costly
OConnor. 6. Solid game, no fuss no frills
Boyes 5. Bit of a mixed bag, overall ok but a few real sloppy moments that better opposition would have punished. No attacking intent for a fullback who is supposed to be better going forward.
Sorenson 6. Worked hard and covered well in front of the defence but no attacking incisive play at all.
Sanders. 4 Continued his absence without leave since his Southampton game, pretty anonymous and poor set pieces bar the first one.
Bishop 6. Kept a balance to the team and tried to knit things together but passes from Poole trying to link up were so far off the mark. When he went off we went further downhill.
Mandy 4.5 poor game, never really controlled the ball all afternoon, always a touch away from him. Should have gone off before Bishop.
Diamond. 6.5 Always double marked but was still our main threat and our only attacking outlet
Hopper 5. Formation should have meant players were closer to him and Mandy in particular should have linked up with him better but sadly as isolated as ever with poor service. No sight of goal.

Shodipo 4. Anonymous and no impact. If he hadn’t trained with us as reported he really shouldn’t have been put on for a 30 minute outing before Vernam.
