A chance for some of the fringe players to press their case for a starting or impact role in the play offs; sadly, no-one took it against a side flattered by their position, too many 80% ers
Palmer 6 - let down for the goals, little to do otherwise.
Poole 7.5 - some committed tackling and incisive passing, the role full backs are expected to occasional leads to positional exposure and not supported enough
Eyoma 6 - inexperience possibly evident in insipid display after Saturday's star turn.
Montsma 6.5 - similar to TJ, monstered by Stockley and Aneke.
Bramall 5.5 - not enough end product
Edun 5.5 - well below recent standards, sloppy passing and caught in possession too often.
Grant 6.5 - bad day at the office including poor set pieces, but more game time for the challenges ahead. Mentally tired after Saturday? Will recharge.
Jones 7- good first half, hard working and supporting the attack, back to pre- covid form, but faded in 2nd half. Set pieces better than Grant's.
Anderson 6.5 - took goal well but too peripheral in the period the game was lost.
Morton 5.5 - several steps back from recent performances, little ball retention and could have done better with a couple of chances. A goal on Sunday would be so good for confidence.
Scully 6 - 50/50 performances continue, after sensational Saturday turgid Tuesday. But an important option and hopefully injury withdrawal in time to minimise damage.
Howarth 6.5 - there's a player there, a run would improve confidence and effectiveness but that's unlikely in the next few weeks.
Sanders 6.5 - busy, bright, one great through ball, gradually getting on message but one for next season.
We noticeably improved when Hopper and Walsh came on, though the game was then lost. Key players.
