Good news ! the rail strike planned for 5pm on the day on the Play Off Final has been called off reports BBC News .
 
both unions called it off.
I am off to station to get tickets tomorrow morning and hope we
get refund on Travelodge having taken out insurance.
 
I am stil staying 2 nights in London , mainly as I will already be there on Monday and can get into central London nice and early ( well, early for me !! )
 
I have been hanging on all week to see if strike called off before I resorted to booking a coach ticket. I was going to book this evening, but relieved I can just book a train home for Tuesday morning and have the rest of the day off having rescheduled my work timetable. Win or lose, I will not want to work on Tuesday after what will have been an emotional day on Monday. Also, I am not expecting to sleep well whilst at Miss Smink's luxury gaff!!

No not yet. MM is trying trying to get his lad a ticket and will try at
9 am tomorrow. Then I will drive to station and book group save
for the correct amount of us.
We have got Travelodge refunded with just £ 4 lost for 2 rooms.
Our train tickets will be open ended so can travel on any one we want.
We still aim for a 9.15 am beer and breakfast.
 
Will join you for breakfast if in central London if that's OK. Doubt Miss S will stretch to a decent brekkie!
