Proud of my mate

The one and only Jonathan Fear and Deano and their band of merry men, as you probably know, yesterday walked up then back down Ben Nevis. Their aim to raise money for cystic fibrosis which tragically took Deano's wife a few years back. It's an accomplishment scaling the highest peak in the UK at the best of times but throw in Fearios medical history it's astonishing and even more so given the time of six hours fifty minutes. I never doubted Jonathan wouldn't complete it and I'm delighted he proved me right. Well done all of you you've adchieved something yesterday and to Fear awesome mate just awesome.

Interestingly, another friend of mine also conquered Ben Nevis yesterday - maybe even encountered JP, Deano and the others - as part of a 3 Peaks Challenge to include Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

Thanks folks.

Will collect my thoughts and type something about the experience in the week. Will also get some of the photos loaded as well.

To say I was happy was an understatement as about 50 odd mins in I thought it was going to be impossible for me. Deano got me sorted, he was a rock and onward we went.

I really hadn't been helped by having a bug for 12 odd days and being on antibiotics up to the day before the climb but once I got through the early wall I knew I was going to do it, especially after another mate very (very) kindly took my bag.
