Fickle Moley

Vital Newbie
City are at home first game of the season, a packed Sincil Bank with over 9000 in attendance cheer the team onto the pitch, roughly a thousand of the fans have to be shown which way the imps are shooting. The game ends in defeat, 0-2 and is greeted with booo's as many in the crowd think we're now out of the cup and the season is over. Uncle Bob takes a huge amount of stick for not supporting the manager and decides to call it a day. Fortunately the Cowley's are on the ball and we beat Rotherham in the Cadwalader Cup and win the next four games. Meanwhile West Ham have lost all five of their first five games and the manager is sacked. Immediately the Cowleys are installed as favourites. Within a week they leave the club and take over the reigns at West Ham, saying it's an opportunity they couldn't turn down. At City we loose the next two and Jimmy Walker and Jamie McCombe take over, but crowds start to dwindle as people say, "its' just not the same." The season continues uneventful and we finish 12th.

Or we could just win the league.

I do love a bit of optimism (or is it reality?). The only bit missing is that the Cowleys team up with Sean Raggett again at the Hammers.
