OWEN Dale will not feature when Oxford United make the trip to Blackpool this weekend due to an agreement with his former employers.
The 25-year-old winger joined the U’s from the Seasiders on January deadline day last week, with suggestions since then that he would not be able to play against Blackpool as part of the deal which brought him to United for an undisclosed fee
U’s head coach Des Buckingham confirmed such an arrangement is in place, but pointed out that Dale can still have an impact on the club’s remaining games after this weekend.
He said: “Owen will not be part of our squad this weekend. When we signed him, there was an agreement between the two clubs that he wouldn’t play in this game.

I reckon his impact will be as big in the dressing room reporting back our many frailties.
 
Would have liked to get to BR today but can’t make it.

If we are to have a realistic chance of making the playoffs then nothing short of a win today and at Cheltenham on Tuesday will suffice.

Think it’s going to be a nervy one this afternoon. I just hope we are positive for 90 mins and take the game to Oxfraud.

However that depends on Snakey picking the right team and tactics. We can but hope!!!
 
A lovely day on the Fylde Coast, sunny, hardly a breeze and not too cold. Perfect day for football.

Looks like Snakey🐍 has gone for experience over flare. Can see a very boring first 70 minutes!
