I can't understand why so many think that Lucas would walk more or less straight into our line up?
He was sitting on the bench for PSG and, as Ex states, not match fit when he came to us.
Also it's naturel that it takes time to establish working relations, learn playstyle and tactics on the training ground/pitch. Poch sees all this every day, we don't.
Lucas is no Messi or Ronaldo who can walk right in and dominate a game on their own, even less so if he isn't match fit.

With a good preseason he'll be ready on all levels and come good for us.

Not a case of walking straight into our line up.....but if Poch doesn't think he can do 15-20 mins, why put him on the bench.......waste of a player, he should have put someone on that can do a cameo.
Take the Juve game.....before they scored, and after we were 2-1 down, someone like Lucas that (on paper) offers something a bit different, would have, or could have, changed our game, but he didn't get a run out. We didn't see him v Bournemouth.....if as Ex says Poch is slowly bringing him into it.......well 15-20 mins shouldn't be too much

I think he thought he could do 20 minutes, so was saving him for 10 mins into extra time to run at tired legs :19:
