Aussie batsmen critically ill after being hit by a short ball in Sheffield shield match. Horrible. Hope he recovers.

He has had emergency surgery to relieve swelling around the brain,next 24 to 48 hrs are critical

Looks touch and go. Really unlucky as it caught him right in the back of the head as he tried to hook. Apparently using an older type helmet that has slightly less protection there.
