Man City Boss Manuel Pellegrini says that it will be difficult to recruit English Players this summer because of 'inflated price tags' and will find it difficult to put enough ‘homegrown’ stars in his squad to meet Premier League requirements next season.

Premier League clubs are not allowed to include more than seventeen overseas players aged over 21 in their squads.

According to the Daily Mail this is how much English players have played for Man City -

James Milner 27%
The midfielder has played 21 games but started only seven.

Joleon Lescott 27%
Once a regular starter, he's only started seven games.

Micah Richards 8%
Injuries have cut his starts to just two so far.

Jack Rodwell 4%
£15million signing has started only once this season.

Scott Sinclair 0%
He's been out on loan at West Brom this term.
