Vital 1st Team Regular
It's been announced that Pele has died. I seen him play at Villa Park Villa v Santos, in my opinion the greatest.
RIP Pele
RIP Pele
St Johns ambulance had to treat my brother after he passed out up the back of the Holte.Queued back past the Holte pub that night., just for a glimpse of him RIP
RIP.
Before my time so I wasn't fortunate enough to enjoy him, and weirdly I never see as much footage of him on TV as other former greats (why is that?) , but I'll have to bow down to the older generation, he was obviously one hell of a player and did an awful lot of good for the game.
Yup. I was there aged 10. I think no one who was there will forget that game.Just been watching the Villa v Santos highlights on you tube. My God it brought back some memories.

To think many Villans saw the likes of Pele, Muller and Beckenbauer, even if they were freindlies. Juventus and Milan had class players too. On the home front, chuffed to have seen Sir Stanley,Sir Tom and Sir Nat.One of the few games I've watched from the Trinity upper stand.
Me and a mate (kids)managed to slip in a side door whilst the guarding
commissionaire was distracted for a moment.
Rest in peace Pele.
And Steve HuntThe biggest shame is his Mother is still alive aged 100, it must be awful for her to see her son die before her there is something always wrong when that happens.
Over 1300 games and nearly 1300 goals and ended his career playing with the legend that is Charlie Aitken as well.
