I'm investigating the Clueless One's comment that he's never been able to name his first choice XI. "I think if I put my best eleven out every week we would be a top-eight side"

So what do you assume was his "BEST XI" this season?

Krul

Simmo (Debuchy Jan 13) Colo, Saylor (Mbiwa Jan 13 ?) Santon, Haidara (Jan 13)

Tiote, Cabaye, Jonas, (Sissoko Jan 13)

HBA, Ba, Cisse

I'll go with the consensus and work out the stats accordingly.

"We'll never win nowt unless Pardwho's out"

 
Ive just christened Pardew as #TheSpecialNeedsOne on twatter.

His latest interview had him narked because he couldn't call on Shola from the bench.

The mongs will sympathise with him but most of us know the score.

 
"Most amusing" but that doesnt solve the question. What was his best XI so i can check how many times they actually played ?

He chose

Krul
Simmo, Saylor, Perch, Santon
HBA, Tiote, Cabaye, Jonas
Ba, Cisse

for the opening game and only Perchinio looks out of place ?
 
Based on appearances, this is the average line up he could have had.

Ba, for example, starting 19 games, Anita 17, the rest a lot more.

Maybe so Taff, especially with Parsnip in charge but most of us could get a winning team out of it.

how many times have either of those sides been put out? i feel having anita and marveaux gives us some wiggle room in midfield, and from january simpson, haidara and mbiwa gives us some in defence.

I am struggling with the question Amac. Do you want the best 11, or do you want HIS best eleven? There are huge differences, Guttieriez being one of them.
 
Somebody should point out to him that Man United win titles, even though Ferguson changes his team nearly every game.

Have we really got that many fans that just sit and lap this shìt up?

Does anybody actually believe our shockingly poor league season was down to pure bad luck with injuries and not his ineptitude as a manager?
 
Top Class Managers do not:
Blame their league position on injuries
Constantly ask the fans to get behind them
Complain about too many games
Consistantly come out with inane comments on a daily basis
Complain about being in Europe
Buy players and not know what position to play them in
Daily state we are working on it on the training ground to no avail
Say their fans expect too much by wanting to be Top 6
I'm sure many of you cabn add lots to these

MM what I'm looking to find out is how much of the Clueless Feckwits "If only I'd been able to pick my best team" bollox is true ? So I could say HIS best team would have been

So its HIS best team, the one he could have reached eighth place with (yeah right) I'm looking for not yours or mine !
 
Right amac. I think you have the pre January team right. Post jan I think it's this: 4,2,3,1 formation. Tk. Debuchy, colo, staylor, santon. Then Cabaye playing like a quarterback sending 45 yard Hollywood balls direct to cisse alongside tiote. Hba, sissoko, Guttierez attacking midfielders even tho jg has about 3 assists in 5 seasons. Then Cisse up top on his jack.
