As this rate they need either a new gimmick or to do something sensational to get the crowds up above the 30,000 mark.

This could be the best/worst decision fat boys made. If crowds are low then the fans have finally said fuck you and a lot walk away. Hopefully he sees his investment disappearing in front of his eyes and does something spectacular as you say.
What that would be though god only knows!

It's difficult to even guess what's going on in his head. These decisions are so bizarre and don't seem to help in any way to make more moola for him.

Unless this is a brazen strategy to get Llambias and Pardew out. Surely he doesn't genuinely think that tourettes sufferer is a good appointment?

It is totally bizarre plats, Maybe Ashley caught wind of the opinion in some circles that it was llambias who was the problem and not him, and so has successfully pushed him out. Or maybe Llambias wanted to go back to running his casinos. HE must have a plan (probably not a good one), but he surely wouldn't have accepted llambias' resignation if he didn't know what he was gonna do next.
