More sad news - John Challis AKA Boycie

Has passed away.

A great actor in Only Fools & Horses, my favourite TV programme.

I loved Boycies character and I loved to hate Boycies character. What a great couple, Boycie and Marlene

Absolute quality comedy with some great one liners ie. Triggers broom.
Dad's Army, Steptoe, Porridge, Fawlty Towers all top comedies and what have we got today. Mrs Browns Boys FFS.
Had to laugh the other day after just tuning in to watch Dad's Army when they gave a warning just before it started that ''this programme may offend some people with its outdated language.'' WTF? is there really anyone on this planet that could need counselling after watching Dad's Army. Their be giving warnings before Shaun the sheep soon.

Boycie`s laugh was brilliant, he was brilliant, the whole cast was brilliant and, very importantly, the writing was brilliant. Classic, harmless top drawer comedy.

Agree re OF &H and Mrs Brown's Boys, (unspeakably awful) and the praise for Dad's Army, wonderful characterisation that is timeless imo.

Challis great in OF&H. What a shame he made "Green Green Grass" which I'd say was only marginally less awful than Mrs Brown's Boys.
