Short and sweet from Michael Appleton ahead of MK Dons, perhaps keeping his powder dry for a game later in the week:
Squad Fitness - Imps appear to have come through the frustrating spell where players were picking up knocks and strains. We are quite healthy going into the game. Everyone knows how influential Liam Bridcutt is both on and off the pitch so it is important we get his selection decision right.
MK Dons - MA is under no illusions how tough the game will be; any result will be welcome. From watching clips they are a better side than last season and will finish much higher up the league this year. They play with patience and in the right way. MK will seek to retain the ball and play through their opponents in similar style to that employed by the previous manager but this year they have more 'legs' in addition to posing a greater goal threat.
MA will be content to let MK build from the back on occasions with importance placed on knowing when to press or not.
