Mellor

Bradford City are poised to sign former Blackpool defender Kelvin Mellor on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Mellor is a free agent after his contract with Blackpool expired at the end of June and a number of clubs have been chasing his signature.

However, Bradford have moved to offer the defender a deal at Valley Parade to become the latest new signing for Michael Collins' side.
Mellor will help fill the void left at Bradford by Tony McMahon's departure to Oxford earlier this season.

Mellor has impressed at Blackpool since joining the club on a free transfer from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2016.
The attacking full-back helped Blackpool win promotion to League One in his first year at the club and was named in the PFA League Two team of the year.

Mellor continued his fine form last season chipping in with seven goals in 34 games for Blackpool to establish himself as one of the best right-backs in the Football League.

"fill the void left at Bradford by Tony McMahon's" jezz Bob Hat could do that. Quality that will be missed.

Lack of support for whatever reason we are missing the twelfth man...
Must be demoralising playing in a nearly empty stadium no matter why.
‘For Whatever ‘reason’...When will you have the guts to admit that Oyston is the reason and that you are still insistent on backing him?

I am not on a wind up mission so work it out yourself.........
Yes you are on a wind up mission, either that or you're just dense.

You're saying the other reasons apart from Oyston are ...the boycotting fans....who are boycotting.....Oyston.

All the problems lead back to Oyston, there's literally no other rationale for any other stance.

Well put IM. Unfortunately your comments will fall on deaf ears. Premier 1 has always been ready to stand by Oyston and fight his corner...Birds of a feather, etc.

Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer has today told The Gazette he expects Kelvin Mellor to turn down the Seasiders and sign for Bradford City instead.
Blackpool Bowyer told The Gazette last week that he was confident a sealing a new deal for the free agent, whose contract at Blackpool ended at the start of July. It is understood a deal was close last week, but it appears Mellor has had a last-minute change of heart - much to the annoyance of Bowyer who had left the door open for the right back to return. Bradford looks to be the most likely destination, a club Mellor was linked with during the January transfer window. “I don’t think he’s signing for us, I think he’s going to sign for somebody else," Bowyer said after Blackpool's 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra today. When asked if that club is Bradford City, Bowyer replied: "Apparently so. That’s that one done. “How big a blow is it? I think only time will tell in that sense. “The way it ended up being done by Kelvin himself has not been great to be perfectly honest. “
