Plymouth Argyle (a): Today's Team News:

The Imps take on Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in League One this afternoon. The kick-off is at 15:00, and team news will be provided on the link below once we have it.

- Fixtures have conspired so that Plymouth have only played once at home since the end of November, beating Charlton 1-0 on 18th December.
- They play Chelsea in the FA Cup in two weeks time.
- John Marquis has scored four goals against Plymouth at Home Park.

Reputedly they are vulnerable down the left side, so let’s hope we can exploit that, and Marquis can add to his tally in this happy hunting ground.

Safe trip to those setting off on the long journey.

WE owe them one for that 3-4 defeat last season. If we'd won that I think we'd be playing Championship now. I reckon they will drift to about 10th having lost Ryan Lowe.

Never done home park and was hoping to add to my 80 odd grounds. Bloody cold/chest infection has done me the last couple of weeks so maybe next year. Difficult one today. But there’s a flicker of a return to the side that can compete with the top end teams. Still a 2-1 to them sadly. Uti

Season changer that, they hardly won game before or after that.
Grant got injured missed a load of games, came back and wasn't the same (knew he was off?)

Jorge Grant was injured at Plymouth last season, possibly the most decisive injury of the season because he missed the next ten games (of which we won only three).

We had an injury crisis at that time too: in addition to Grant, City had Callum Morton, Liam Bridcutt, Harry Anderson, Theo Archibald, Remy Howarth, Max Sanders and Joe Walsh missing for the next game at home to Fleetwood.

The whole of 2021 was essentially an injury crisis.

Yeh, I should have added, it wasn't just the result but also the loss of Grant that affected our hopes.

Really, Bridcutt and Walsh both injured. And at the same time? Are you sure? I thought they were bullet-proof.
