"If we're going to play this way, do it expansively and with confidence.":

"Continue to play the Appleton way. It's going to take time, but keep on with the passing and attacking and clever stuff. If we're going to play this way, do it expansively and with confidence. Stick with 2 up front."

Tyler Walker still needs two goals to officially become the most successful loan player in the history of the club. The current scoring record for a loan player is held by Ashley Grimes, who somehow managed to score 17 (15 in the league) in the 2010-11 relegation season.

One goal would obviously equal that record.

One goal will also make Tyler only the 54th player in the club's history to score 15 Football League goals in a season; to date, it has been done 72 times by those 53 players.

It was also done four times in the Conference by four different players; four times by four different players in the Midland League; and three times by three different players in the Central League.

Tough match today. Will be listening in and on here as just too much of a trek for us coupled with recent expenditure on matches since the start of December is getting me a few withered wife glances.
Ipswich will want to make amends for the game post Christmas but that might work in our counter attacking favour as they might be a bit too eager.
Safe travels to all attending

Going to be a tough one today. They’re going to want to avenge the mauling we gave them last month plus their form has picked up too. Looking at their forums they’re expecting around 20,000 so should be a good atmosphere for this one. Will take a point all day long to keep our little run going. UTI 😃👊

Plenty of tough matches left of course but this, in theory, is our toughest on paper. Any kind of result today would be excellent.

Six ‘easier’ away days to come and keep the focus on fortress Sincil Bank.

I guess I’m saying I hope I’m celebrating at least a point but if not let’s move on optimistically.

I want 3 points though please!

£30 for division 3 football, ridiculous!
I seem to recall some sort of boycott a few years ago with away fans being encouraged not to go to Portman Rd, I think they were in the championship at the time and their prices were way ahead of every other clubs. Looks like things havnt changed much.

Tough one today as you sense they will want to avenge the hiding we gave them at Christmas. They looked defensively appalling that today, got me it’s a free hit today - let’s go at them from the off.

Huge game, they have the chance to go top in front of 20000. True their form has picked up, but so has ours.
COYI !

I wonder if Walker will still be on Penalty duty should the need arise,or if Grant,Eardley or one one of the new chaps is in line to have a go.

It is actually one of our easiest on paper. Only four teams (Bolton, Tranmere, Rochdale and Southend) have worse home records than Ipswich. They have only won 6 at home in all competitions, and two of those came in the Johnstones-Leyland-Sherpa-Tensing Trophy. We have outplayed them three times this season already, no reason why we can't do it again.
