Lost a lot of the squad players eligible for tonight's game with I think the new recruits either cup tied or registered too late, so I wouldn't expect many changes which is a little worry considering we're playing again in 72 hours.
 
In all honestly, I think this game needs to be taken as a chance to rest 1st teamers and give fringe players a chance now.

This season is a massive opportunity to be promoted, next season will be totally different if we are in L1 again.

Getting points in the league is far more important than this trophy game, don't think it's worth risking Grant, Johnson, Palmer, Bridcutt or Scully at all. We've got enough depth to bring others.

We have played 4 league games and 1 cup game in the last 28days.

We have added 3 players in the last week who are all well capable of coming straight into the team.

We are three games away from picking up a trophy and the cash already won from this competition will have helped to pay for last night's activity.

Given that the below team contains only a goalkeeper and 2 fullbacks (with shiny new competition) that have started all 5 games, I think we are in a good position.

Both teams will want to play ‘fringe’ players, but they know if the other team do then if they play something resembling their first team then they should win. Classic example of ‘prisoners dilemma’ so expect strong teams from both sides.
 
I expect MA will select his ideal side for Friday and then select today's team on the back of that. Not to say players won't play both matches - some will have to - but Friday will take priority. I expect lots of subs - maybe 45 minute shifts.

I imagine we will see Roughan in, perhaps for Walsh. Rogers is cup-tied so would suggest Howarth will get a game.

I think we'll see Montsma and Jackson at CB tonight and Montsma and Walsh on Friday. I don't think Jackson and Walsh are three game a week guys, especially 3 in 6 days.

Bridcutt will be rested I'm guessing, probably Hopper too? Jones, Anderson, Scully, Howarth all to get minutes?
