MATCH THREAD - City vs. Spurs - Sunday, 3 Dec

Hard to see how we are going to win this given our injuries/suspension....let's face it even with a full team it would be a test...tho I'd love to have seen our first eleven go at them. Touch wood bents isn't badly injured.....but not sure I'd risk him for this unless he's absolutely 100%... Haaland is probably looking forward to facing our CB's!

This is the game that if we don't adapt our approach and shape, we're going to get seriously spanked.

Gulp.

We will lose but I don't actually think it will be as bad as we fear.

I imagine a high scoring loss. 4-2

I really don't know what all the negativity is about! lol!

We are Spurs and we are going to win this, ya heard here first lol!

Wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world knowing us, and with our record against them. Beat City and lose @ home to West Ham probably lol

If we had everyone available I’d fancy our chances but as someone who thinks we will win every game, not this time unfortunately.

I fear City will get 4, 5 or 6.

I’m still not deterred though. Brighter days are coming!

Pity the poor sod who gets the short straw to mark Haaland!

As I mentioned in the predictor thread, surely you would assign that task to Dier? Who else do we have that's big enough or physical enough to even go with him?

So, maybe the best we can hope for is a draw. Apart from Pompey the majority can only see defeat. Having established our expectations, regardless of the bravado we show in the predictor thread, is it too much to hope that we don’t have the wringing of hands and self flagellation that was seeping through after the Villa game? Fair critique, yes, but balanced please!

This is Ange's dilemma...

Venom
Porro, ????, ????, Udogie
Sarr, Biss, Gio
Kulu, Son, Johnson

Ange had 2 fit centre halves, Dier and Dorrington, last weekend but overlooked them for 2 full-backs, Emerson and Davies. In key moments, Davies was up against Pao Torres and Watkins. There could have been 4 or 5 goals but for poor finishing, especially Watkins at the far post. Emerson didn't fair much better but grew into the game.

Despite it being City, I'm going with the 2 specialist centre halves and keeping Dier as RCB.
