First game I’m attending this season. I’m not expecting the 9 goals of last season but hoping we can carry the momentum from Wednesday.

The line up will be interesting. Has Paudie recovered? Do we have a striker?

Feet up at home day today as the early season Saturday/midweek routine is very tiring on a man of my advancing years. Game management time is very important. Plus I've got to monitor the financial outgoings a little bit.
Could today be something of an after the Lord Mayor's parade one? Rovers are one of those teams who you just don't know which one will turn up. The only prediction I will make is that it won't be another nine goal where's the defence gone match.

Just setting off. Meeting a few imps in the wonderful Drapers Arms from 1.00. 5 mins from the ground.

After an energy sapping game and emotions of a cup upset, think it will be a tough game against thug Barton and his team today, especially if we have some injuries up top and in general. No idea if Walker, House or Paudie will be back so it’s a hard call result wise today for me, would take a point right now.

Sounds like Bristol Rovers have been playing fairly well but not been clinical enough in the final third. We know what Barton sides are all about anyway, we've come up against him enough times down the years now both there and at Fleetwood. They'll have lots of the ball.

I would have been halfway there by now but for the latest train strike. There is supposed to be a limited hourly service from Cardiff, but with the last train back due to be just after 6pm I'm not going to take the risk of it being cancelled leaving me stuck in the wilds of Filton.

Afternoon, Imps. Hopefully some of the walking wounded will be back today, even if it's only for a cameo, and at least we know what to expect from this bunch.

Safe travels, all who are going today. COYI!!
