MATCH DAY THREAD : Blackpool v The Mighty Blades

There goes MGW again, jumping out of the way of a pass heading straight to him to attempt some over optimistic link up play.

The kid is fucking stupid.

Does he think we're good enough, in every game, to waste good possession so cheaply? Does he think we have so much of the ball in good areas that it just doesn't matter?

He needs a wake up call. Drop him if that's what it takes.

We can't even get the ball into their box at the moment - every attack breaks down with a silly indulgent pass/flick.......or else we're resorting to the pub team hoof

Not much good possession at all but when we have had it it's largely been wasted by some self indulgent loanee kid who seems to think he's earned the right to basically consider himself the team.

And the less said about Ndiaye the better. He can't impose himself at all. Can see why he's fallen out of the team. Such a disappointment.

We miss McKnee!

Frustrating, but that's the theme of the season.

A point, a clean sheet and an improvement from the Coventry clown show but even with the injuries I think we should have snuck a win. Half the league one sides we played for six years were better than Blackpool and we've let them take four points of us.

If the decision to disallow Norwood's goal wasn't scandalous enough there's a clear penalty in the build up where Husband grabs hold of Gordon's shirt and drags him down.

Also at what stage is the linesman judging offside ? Neither Norwood or Robinson (who it might have deflected off) were offside. It's the refs call to judge whether the goalie had his line of sight blocked so why is he deferring to the lino ? An absolute shambles from the officials that's robbed us of a crucial 2 points.

Looks like Billy is off side and possibly obstructing the goalies view but from where the linesman is standing can't see how he could determine that anyway so must have been the refs decision but again he is not looking in direct line.
More to the point, why was Sanders disallowed? Should have been 0-2 for me.

Norwood used to score about 5 a season, before he signed for us. Then, naturally, his free kicks became wank.

Between the pair of them Norwood and Egan should be contributing double figures in the Championship. It's details like this we have to look to improve if we are to progress to, and maintain, being a PL club.

Take Sharp, MGW, Bogle and McGoldrick (and he could afford to do a lot better) out of the equation and we've got players with shockingly bad goals to games ratios. At some stage we're going to have to evolve from the same safe continuity of doing what we have done for the past five years.
