Man Utd v NUFC Match Thread

Alert Team
With Sissoko out and de Jong joining the squad, it's gonna be an interesting line up that faces a side that we just dont beat at Old Trafford, aside the Yohan Cabaye inspired 1-0 two seasons ago.

With all the talk of a Man Utd or Rooney 'crisis' this week, it's just set up nicely for the 'stitch-on' wig wearer from Liverpool to get 2 or 3 against us today and that's before you mention the other players.

With our defence resembling an old Ford Escort just longing to be told to be scrapped at an MOT check, the likes of Mata will have a field day today to give the press and TV 'experts' the ammunition to laud their Sky favourites after a decent win.

They'll also be willing the new Man Utd signing Memphis Depay to get on the scoresheet as the headlines will already be written ahead of their first tonking of someone. Headlines like 'A Walk In Memphis' or something for those older heads amongst us that remember the Marc Cohn or Cher versions of the song.

All that said, the pressure should be off today and if it were up to me, Id hoy Florian Thauvin straight in and go two up top with Mitrovic joining Cisse.

We sit back and it's not a case of a defeat but by how many.

Team news follows.......

Still don't think the mancs defence has been tested yet this season, so as our defence is like a sieve just start with two up front and have a go at them, it's the only way we stand a chance of getting anything. Start with Cisse on his own and we're looking at a hiding.

Mitrovic is starting. The line up is more attacking than I thought it would be.

Don't want to speak too soon, but I'm liking the look of Mbemba so far, quick, strong in the tackle and reads the oppositions movement well, dare I say it we may have signed a quality defender here.

Some positives from that half and if we replace Obertan, we can get something out of this.

Aye, I've never known a winger who can turn a promising attacking situation into a position where are defence are under pressure within a matter of seconds, the space invader headed twat.

official

obertan is not a footballer
id get cisse on and have a good dig at these ***** i think they`d shat themselves if someone with decent pace ran at hem.

Cisse is dogshit, you just need to look at the work rate and more importantly the footballing brain on Perez to realise how poor he is, I do agree we need to believe here, they're simply not that good, I 'd get De Jong and Aaron's on.

Knackered here, as you are when you don't have much possession, just a question of hanging on now, defending deep (but very well so far). Regardless of the result lots of positives here and a really good team effort, special mention to Mbemba, Colo and Perez who have been fucking outstanding.

I feel like that was a win :D

Same here fella. A great result. A great team performance and wait for it, the defence played brilliant. Not something I thought I would ever mention on here.

Decent result but felt embarrassed in the Cumberland in Tynemouth when people were celebrating like SDU had won the league.

Cisse, Obertan and Colback are shit and wouldn't get in any other team in the league. Meanwhile, Aarons and De Jong sit twiddling their thumbs. Man Utd and their toss pot fans were there for the taking today but we sat back. Felt sorry for Mitrovic and Winjaldum.

I celebrated that result, because it was a fantastic result against a very good team, Mbemba was tremendous....infact the only negative was Obertan, he's fucking shit, end of.

A very good team? They look worse than what they did under Moyes. Suppose you and your Wonga clad ilk have accepted that draws like this are the best SDU can expect.
