Luton v Swansea

A tough set of games coming up, starting with Luton away this Saturday 4 March at 15:00.
Form guide last 6 games:
Luton W2 D3 L1 F6 A5
Swans W1 D1 L4 F7 A13
Last Tuesday 6th place Luton drew with 4th place Millwall at Kenilworth Road, an 87’ equaliser by midfielder Luke Berry rescuing a point for Luton after being 0-2 down at one stage.
Former Welsh International centre-half, 40 year-old Rob Edwards has been Luton’s manager since last November after Nathan Jones left for what was an ill-fated spell at Southampton.
Edwards previously guided FG Rovers to promotion from L2 before moving on to Watford. He only lasted four months there as head-coach after a bad run of winning only 3 games in 10, and with Watford in 10th place.
We’ve been through a bad run ourselves with 3 wins in the last 20 matches, culminating in more poor results at home against teams below us in the table recently, scraping a win against Blackpool before losing to Birmingham and Stoke and then an undeserved draw against Rotherham on Tuesday.
Can we limp on to the end of the season and avoid relegation with Martin in charge? The absent owners from across the pond are reluctant to have to pay up his contract, and have shown no confidence in him by dumping 6 players and pulling out of deals to bring in new players in the January Transfer Window.
Coupled with a silent CEO this end letting the manager take all the flak, the club is seemingly in crisis on and off the field.

Today’s team:
Joe Allen captain, Matt Grimes misses out through illness, Jamie Paterson back in favour.

Swans: Andy Fisher, Ben Cabango, Nathan Wood, Joel Latibeaudiere, Matty Sorinola, Jay Fulton, Joe Allen (c), Ryan Manning, Ollie Cooper, Luke Cundle, Joel Piroe.

Subs: Andreas Sondergaard, Harry Darling, Jamie Paterson, Morgan Whittaker, Liam Cullen, Kyle Naughton, Liam Walsh.

Well our weak defence held out for 39 minutes before Carlton Morris fired home from close range after Fisher fumbled a cross. Luton 10 shots on goal already.

Luton 1 - Swansea 0

Just the one goal in it, Fisher at fault again. Clark hit the post for Luton late second-half, one of their sixteen shots on goal. Sub Cullen’s goal ruled out offside.
Russell Martin and Luton assistant manager Richie Kyle red carded after a clash in injury time.
Down to 17th in the table with 3 wins in 21 matches, the nightmare continues.
