I agree. It worked for Brennan Johnson and Forest, whereas recalling Tyler Walker didn't have the same impact.

Bring him back if we can in January. Any goals he scores at our higher level for us would double his value in the summer. And it could make the difference for us in making the playoffs.

It depends if he has a January recall clause though.

From a selfish point of view I think our only opportunity to see him playing for us from now on would be to recall him in January. If he spent the season at Walsall playing like this he would almost certainly be sold for big ££ next summer without putting a Lincoln shirt back on.

Mat Sadler seems to know how to get the best out of Freddie - perhaps he should be on our managerial short list for when we bring Freddie back.

Actually, I’m starting to wonder if Freddie can play the lone No 9 role for the Imps with Ben House playing behind him, or as a staggered front two. We get the best of both worlds then with Freddie assuming the role he’s playing for Walsall and Ben doing what Ben does best, pressing the defences. . Danny Mandriou could also play alongside Ben as a two behind Freddie. We’d probably need at least one winger though, possibly Shodipo, to provide the low crosses that Freddie seems to enjoy. Just a thought.
