LOAN WATCH: Sam Long & Charley Kendall

No sign of Kendall tonight (or Long, who hast appeared at all for Bromley). Is Charley injured?

Kendal took a knock last Saturday resulting in a dead leg . With a home game v Notts County on Saturday obviously given time to recover .
Long , i fear wont get a game unless Bromleys first choice keeper gets suspended or has a complete meltdown or gets injured . Also the manager rarely puts a keeper on the bench

begs the question why we sent him there in the first place

Can't recall where I heard this, Bromley's manager was a keeper and is well regarded as a coach. So possibly he's there primarily for that.
But if that's right it doesn't explain what he can do that our coaches can't. Unless maybe it's spend more time with him individually.

Yes , he was a football league keeper , and then went onto be goal keeping coach for Newcastle , Crystal palace , west ham and lastly Arsenal .

Sam Long was on OUR bench at Fleetwood on 25 March.

Charley Kendall was red-carded for Bromley tonight, 28 March

Kendall should have had more games here, same as House, would have been good pairing House behind Kendall, with a bit more time on the ball,House would have more goals.

Still say Kendall should have had more game time here, the same as House did, and they could have been a good pairing, house behind Kendall.
Mark Kennedy has said several times that Kendall is a long way short of League One standard; what have you seen about Kendall that Kennedy has missed?

Totally agree, had Kendall been good enough he would have been here, not struggling to get game time in NL and L1.

Kennedy may well regard Kendall as not good enough, but has used
Makama and Draper, neither of which, IMO, have as much potential.

Is this the same Mark Kennedy who thinks Shodipo and Boyes who he signed in January are an improvement on what we already have. From what we’ve seen l would take MK’s opinions on most things with a pinch of salt.

His potential, we didn't sign him as a League 1 ready player, we brought him to develop him but havnt done anything of the kind. He was not a Kennedy player, he doesn't rate him and he will be released at the end of his contract. He's been handled very poorly. Sutton wasn't the right club for him in the first place, this lad was a bit different, he scored goals for fun and he should of had a much more detailed and better planned out pathway into developing him into a first team player for us. Good luck to the lad wherever he ends up but being at our club hasn't been a good experience for him.

Any chance that going out on loan to clubs lower down the pyramid and scoring goals may have been part of his detailed and planned out pathway into the first team?
