Perhaps the opponents stacking up A & E will eventually realise that they are only thinking that the stamping hurts because the perpetrator was black.

Doesn't make her come across as a particularly nice person, does it. Once? You can put down to over excitement or inexperience but twice...? If anyone is giving her racist abuse they should be dealt with by the law.

I’ve not seen any of the abuse in question but it sounds like they’re making a statement against abuse rather than particular press coverage?

It depends if it’s simply a pile-on over the incident, or whether the comments are specifically discriminatory.

Agreed, but her manager's comments don't make the distinction.

She compared it to the abuse Beckham got for behaving like a petulant child and kiboshing England's World Cup chances for a further 4 years. Hard to see how that was racism, but who knows?

And at least Beckham was never going to injure Simeone by his actions.
