Was given one game for Livingston, away at Celtic on the opening day of the season. Was substituted at 3-0 down and never featured for them again. Not exactly a fair game to judge him by.

eardley could also play defensive midfield imo. good technique, reads the game excellently and can pass well with both feet.

Strange little career at Livingston. Sounds like he's another who will get games, and maybe they can manage Eardley a bit more. If he's a good defensive fullback, better for away games maybe.

Played a fair bit for Carlisle in L2 last season, so knows a bit about the division.

Definitely frees up Eardley to LB if needed.

EDIT - And as nlondonimp says, Eardley could do a job 'sitting' IMO. He did ok there last(?) season when he ended up in CM for some reason (injury, sending off?).
