Saw Darren smith put something this morning didnt know who it was about as he mentioned a lack of left sided centre backs if it’s anel it couldn’t be much worseJust seen a report that Anel has been injured and reported to be out for 4weeks accordingto the Bosnian FA

This number of injuries can't just be a coincidence. It's amazing they've still failed to get to the bottom of it.
Pick one player not to get injured, it's him.
And we know what 'at least 4 weeks' is don't we - we can stretch that to 12 no problem, because we're so clever and professional and cautious.
Injuries are the only thing that can cost us and it looks like they absolutely will.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel for positives but IF it is 4 weeks nearly half of them will be taken up by the international break and he might only miss 4 games plus 3 out of the next 4 are at home and so that will help us. To be honest I didn't think he was running right on Saturday towards the end but just thought he might be tired

Lousy news. At least it's been identified early and won't be exacerbated on Friday by the Bosniaks trying to play him.
Gordon's a like for like replacement, we could play Khadra at LWB or revert to a back 4. There's no sugar coating this though, losing Ahmedhodzic is a major blow.

Let's just change one position, and not the system.
It also gets another creative player in the team.
Doyle would have to change his role a fair bit to protect the left hand side. He's astute enough defensively to be able to do that.
Alternatively Doyle could play like a LM, with Berge moved into CM. This would also get Khadra in the team - or more realistically with Heckman, McAtee.

Agree. We’ve got 3 winnable home games coming up where we might get away with a defensively weakened left side but with a strengthened attacking threat. I’m not sure we’ll get away with it away at Stoke who are on the up… I’d see how the first 2 home game go.
