India won by 106 runs
Luckily I've missed it this morning as I'm sat in the hospital for a change
 
The 3rd test looks evenly balanced at the end of day 2.India all out 445 could & should've been a lot less if we'd taken our chances but big credit to Ben Duckett on bein 133 not out and England are 207-2 with our Joe 9 not out.UTB

Wow, Joe might get into double figures.
 
I think his bowling is taking it's toll!
Of those playing currently he's ranked as 4th best allrounder in the world.

As 2 of England's best batsmen ever said last week, Sir Geoff and piggy Vaughan, he's made over 10,000 test runs as Joe Root and should stick to his natural game and let those still to make a name for themselves pay Bazball.

BTW , Stokes plays his 100th test and, of all England batsmen with over 100 tests to their name, he has the lowest average-36.6.

Problem is they're playing Bazball instead of proper test match cricket.
Wicket's thrown away.
Time for a rethink/reset for some- and the media seem to be saying the same about Joe's batting.
Today was a head down grind it out day not a reverse scoop early on day.

WTF is happening with the England squad when Joe is opening the bowling- and getting the 1st wicket? You can't keep a good man down.

This is what you get with shit or bust cricket losing 8 wickets for less than a hundred runs seems to be acceptable nowadays they would have been hung drawn and quartered for that as little as a couple of yr ago now it’s oh well that’s bazball for you and carry on regardless

It only needs a couple of series lost and a drop down the rankingsa and, instead of being flavour of the month, Stokes will be stinking the place out.

Skin of the teeth daredevil stuff is fine when winning but, when it leads to throw away defeats, then the knives will be out.

Remember when it started , Joe bailed him out at Lords and Jonny had that wonderful 4 century summer?
Neither are firing ATM and ,apart from the odd jewel, there's no one to bail them out consistently.
 
Bazball is innovative and great when it comes off. A bit like the Blades when we brought the overlapping, attacking CB's. But after a while teams work out ways to stifle those tactics.

If you like this form of suicidal cricket you might as well just go and watch 5 T20's back to back.
Some of the greatest, tension filled games have been when a team is hanging onto save a game,heroic last wicket stands against the odds with unlikely heroes emerging.
The highest ever 10th wicket satnd was between Joe and Jimmy Anderson, 198 , just 10 short years ago. Oh for an ounce of such common sense and resilience now.

The result's a forgone conclusion - it's just when the axe falls Bully.

Sensible cricket would see heads down, last as long as possible, show some grit, determination, even get some time out in the middle to get some form.

They'l have an eye on a round of golf though. That's how they practise for test series after all.

Might last overnight with golf booked for after lunch tomorrow.

When Joe's bowled more overs than he's got runs you know it's a shitshow.

But Stokes will ignore all criticism except from inside the dressing room he says.

Rob Key has revelled in the 'glory' of some fantastic results when the batsmen, particularly Joe & Jonny were firing.
Now he's got to man up, point out the sheer stupidity of 'going for it' with no regard for the circumstances of the match and see how Stokes handles that.
I fear he's the sort of bloke that it would be hard to convince that Stokes is playing him for a mug as he's nowhere near astute enough to figure it out.
I actually think you'd have to tell him to come in if it was raining
