Here we go!

One of the benefits stated of the EU was the peace dividend. It was pointed out that this was more likely to be because of NATO than anything coming from Brussels but it was oft repeated.

See Putin is following up his infiltration in Ukraine with infiltrations of a different type in Poland, from Belarus. EU has done nothing to aid Poland accept to insist on secrecy from its Border Force and now NATO has had to step in.

Tension is also rising in Balkans but where are the peacemaking EU. Like the last skirmish there, no where. The U S has had to step in. So much for EU being peace makers. A strong NATO is all important, nothing to do with EU.

Hmm, the first paragraph smacks of cancel culture by trying to rewrite history. You're not one of these woke folk are you?

Surely that cant be right, stretts has been eulogising about liz truzz and how many deals she has rolled over. Sure polly has an explanation....

Yeah. We heard all this from this mob back in 2016 did it materialise in 2017. No. The figures were the same and used by remainers in 2017 and 2018. Did it happen No. Told finance quarter would move to Europe, banks would collapse and the 4% figure was regurgitated in the election. Did it happen. No. Would surely happen in 2020 when we actually left. No. How many times do they need to be proved wrong. U.K. is projected to grow faster than any European economy including Germany. We have heard these figures. Comes from the same school of modelling that Ferguson uses. Smell the coffee or in Stretts case the Pastis.

The article isn’t talking about growth estimates etc, it is talking about actual trade deals in place to replace the actual trade deals we have lost. Big difference…

Precisely. In any case there is some debate over the interpretation of the growth estimates because of the low base it is being measured from.

Yep, you know better than the experts. Colonel Blimps rule!!!

And I thought it was talking about 15 years projection.
It was talking about trade deals we had versus trade deals we now have.

Unless you think Boris is going to pull a shitload of new trade deals out of his arse in the near future there are going to be problems. Good luck to you if you think he will…

Second quarter gdp figures. UK 5.5 Eu 2.2. Actual. Third quarter out tomorrow and some correction is likely but the actual will still show favourable gdp figures compared to EU. These are actual figures not some fantasy remainers monologue.

You may have been too busy reading Harry Potter but I notice you are one of the many who didn’t answer my question last week about how Brexit has benefitted you personally…

After nearly a week we have two answers - Strett saved €9 on a bottle of Pastis in duty free and IAAT got a job with a higher income than expected because of skill shortages following Brexit.

So come on, put your money where your mouth is - how has Brexit benefitted you personally? No arguments about which figures are right or wrong just pure and simple.
