I'll confess remembering the surname but had to google the rest....played a couple of times on loan in October of that year

I wondered if anyone would say David Wilson, but Aidan Murphy is correct. His debut was a 4-1 home defeat by Hartlepools but he then missed the League Cup Second Round Second Leg match at home to Charlton because Manchester United didn't want him cup-tied.
