Fisher has some corporate experience - so I’d be amazed if he hasn’t been having discussions in the background over the last couple of months.
- Sounding out members of the senior playing squad.
- Private words with some trusted confidants (a couple of legends were present for a club event recently).
- A chat with HR to check the T&Cs in the employment contracts.
- Performance appraisals with Harris and short term targets set.
- Eying up potential short-term replacements.
- Discussing the manager situation with potential new owners.
- etc.

Not expected, but wouldn’t have been shocked if there was a 9:00am club statement that NH had left priestfield “by mutual consent”
However the fact it hasn’t happened boosts the possibility that the takeover plan is all ‘go’ and good times are coming back!
