Happy Far Right Day (n/G)

All this Saint George nonsense, it's damned un-English. Let other less fortunate nations wear their patriotism on their sleeve. Ours is a quiet, subtle and deeper love given expression by how we live, not what we shout.

Or something like that, and not including the football of course.

Is that your subtle way of condemning the English far right?!

Far right far left? It all depends where you place the centre.
Hitler was a National Socialist, but considered far right.

Oh dear.

... the consensus among historians is that the Nazis, and Hitler in particular, were not socialists in any meaningful sense."

"...the assumption that because the word "socialist" appeared in the party's name and socialist words and ideas popped up in the writings and speeches of top Nazis then the Nazis must have been actual socialists is naive and ahistorical."

"Far" anything gives me the willies.

Harold Nicolson-the diplomat, writer, and half of a very unconventional and open marriage with Vita Sackville West, got mixed up with Oswald Mosely and his New Party in its early stages and when Mosely might still be presented as a good thing. Looking at the Brown Shirts and Black Shirts on the continent and Blue Shirts in Ireland, Mosely asked what might be a good uniform for a British party looking to shake things up a bit. Nicolson suggested that blue blazers and grey slacks would look nice. He then went on to represent National Labour in Parliament.

Another version of the same theme is PG Wodehouse's character, Roderick Spode, who went around shouting at everyone at the head of the Saviors of Britain movement, aka the Black Shorts. Spode also has an interesting side line in designing ladies' underwear.

Takes all sorts, I suppose, and not for me to judge.

Fuck off Buddha, you believe in being a free spirit, but anyone who doesn't fit your bill is an extreme right winger ( or near enough). Shall we start having a go at travellers, or people that sniff anything going? For christ's sake give it a break. It is seldom that you comment on football matters, but if it's politics your ugly head is right at the front.
Up the GILLS!

I thought you'd be condemning those brutal Fascist Police for smashing up those exercising their freedon to march.
;)

If I go to deed poll and change my name to Lionel Messi, I'm not going to suddenly be able to demand a million a week to play football.

I also suppose you also think the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is both democratic and a republic?

Only joking, I know some of you proud patriots ain't far right fascists.

And that's why, as proud Englishmen, I'm sure that these twunts will cause you nothing but shame and embarrassment.

The fact is St George wasn't English so if they met in a time warp they would have probably attacked him or given him verbal abuse.

(the dragon slaying story surfaced in the 14th century ...& during his lifetime he was "resurrected" four times...)

It is most unlike you to take the side of the police .....

The police were only blocking the path because the patriots looked "visibly English".

Should the police say to a young woman, dressed in a short skirt and skimpy top?
"You shouldn't walk past those young ...... men. You look "visibly curvy".

What should the police say to a lady dressed head to foot in black - eyes looking through a "letterbox" ?
"Sorry, you can't go there. You look "visibly Muslim."

And one for you....
"You can't cross the road here because you look "visibly Travelley"

Met Police allow months of Palestine protests, displaying support for banned terrorist groups.

Met Police turn up with horses for St Georges day meet.

Not really surprising when you remind yourself who the Mayor of London is.
