With the Imps scoring 16 in 3 games, this deserves a thread of its own. Some achievement, but where does it stand in club history?

Three Games:
19: 1951-52, Third Division North (7-2 v Darlington, 1-3 v Gateshead, 11-1 v Crewe)
18: 1889-90, Midland League (10-2 v Leek, 2-2 v Derby Midland, 6-0 v Derby Junction)
18: 1931-32, Third Division North (Darlington 6-0, 3-0 v Rochdale, 9-1 v Halifax)
16: 1889-90, Midland League (4-0 v Burton Wanderers, 2-5 v Warwick County, 10-2 v Leek)
16: 2023-24, League One

So, this is our best scoring run over three games for 72 seasons and the third best in our Football League history.

Then I looked at the best scoring run over FOUR league games:

23: 1951-52, Third Division North
21: 1951-52, Third Division North (second run)
21: Last two games of 1889-90, first two games of 1890-91, Midland League
21: 1931-32, Third Division North
20: 1889-90, Midland League
20: 1889-90, Midland League (second run)

Incredibly, we would need eight against Orient to set a new club record.

Yes, it was 3 2 3 9 in the league, interspersed with three cup games (1, 0, 1), so it probably didn't seem like a goalfest at the time.
