Garmston update (Kettners)

"“You don’t need to be Einstein to see that if we had a fox in the box we would be a lot higher up the table."

We've got one of those On this board, are you there Foxy and are you free on Saturday????

Oh right. So SE is looking for an extension until January to get team building done.

Yes it sounds like there will be more incomings and outgoing in January. Some of the loans will go back to their parent clubs, some will be extended, maybe Garmston will go (although have heard he’s on £2k a week here and not sure he could get that much elsewhere).
Perhaps also one of two of his contracted signings who haven’t impressed could be moved on also to free up more budget (Cisse, Hodson etc).

That's assuming SE survives until January.

SE should try something different and play such a good unused asset - Garmston.
Well if you think he will then you don’t know him very well!
agree with Kettners on this one - Evans is a stubborn fecker, so once he’s made his mind up that’s it.

Possibly looks like a weakness I am guessing he does not show that side at all.Although I would argue it is harder to admit you are wrong about something.Approximately 50% of us will have to do that all to soon.

And that usually spells the downfall of anyone who adopts that attitude.

How long are the cisse and hodson deals?

While easy to criticise Evans for under using Garmston, it is worth remembering Lovell too under used him in the second half of last season too. After the FA Cup match in January, he only started once and came on as a sub for the other. During the last four months of the season Kettners insisted Garmston wasn't injured so he was dropped for footballing reasons.

Even if Lovell was still manager instead of Evans, there is no certainty that Garmston would be a regular.

Don’t know, 1/2 years i would guess.
but if Evans drops you to the development side and makes you train with them away from the first team squad with no chance of any 1st team football then it’s probably best to leave if you can find another club, as Parrett, Rees, Oldaker etc were forced to do.

But SE may go first
