According to the trading economics website food inflation is running at 19.1% in the UK, no doubt down to Brexit. Don't know who the others are going to blame
Bulgaria 21%
Czech Republic 23.5%
Estonia 24.7%
Germany 21.2%
Hungary 44.8%
Latvia 24.1%
Lithuania 27.6%
Poland 24%
Portugal 19.57%
Romania 21.56
Slovakia 21.2%
And giving the European Union average as 19.17%

Didn't say the UK had benefitted just that it's easy to lay the blame for all the UK's problems at brexits door.
Obviously it isn't ALL because of Brexit. The biggest problem is the most incompetent Government in my long lifetime that couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Anyway, it isn't the fault of Brexit any more, apparently. No, it's the leftie cabal in the Civil Service that have ruined everthing.
🙄

Deflection and dead cattery on nuclear scale. Utter Charlatans.

Even Sunak, who isn't completely useless, is imprisoned by the ERG right wing nutters that have taken over the Tory party.

A report a few days ago on the radio Liam Halligan stated that food prices from producers (farmers etc) has been falling for the last 12 years. He said the real blame seems to lie with the retailers.

Why "no doubt down to Brexit" ?

(Those figures don't support that !)

Are no other factors involved ?
Covid, Lockdown supply chain disruption ?
Haulage drivers returning home or retiring ?
Russia's invasion > fuel prices, wheat and fertiliser held up ?
Supermarkets profiteering ?

IIRC hundreds of Import Duties were abolished "down to Brexit".
If they haven't been passed on, ask "why not" ?

Please explain how the ERG are both "right wing" and "nutters".

And in what way they have "taken over the Tory party".
(No reading of Conservative activist websites and Comments supports that assertion.)

Joker.
Just type into your favourite search engine...
'How has the UK benefitted since leaving the EU?'
So - the internet is full of creative pieces imagining various degrees of "disaster" - usually based on cherry-picking some statistic....

....while ignoring difficulties currently faced in Germany, France, Italy etc.

There is only one "benefit" that matters.
Can British MPs - elected by us - make all the laws that affect us ?
Can they be over-ridden by foreign bureaucrats or politicians ?

The big outstanding question is:
How many of the 23,000+ EU legacy laws remaining do we want to keep ?

Some would argue that the process of reviewing for retain, amend or repeal is too slow.

Here's two of your nutter mates from the right wing in the Telegraph.. Two who probably will grift a profit from Brexit. At least they've stopped pretending now.Screenshot_20230424_165156_Twitter.jpg

The Daily Mirror ran an article a few days ago in which an "expert" was suggesting that there might be a shortage of toilet paper and the Mirror suggesting it might lead to panic buying. FFS! Thanks for puting that out there. Luckily panicking shoppers reading this will have something to wipe their a***s on.
