When….if ever was the last time the FA Trophy had a final where next season neither team would be in the same division?

Grimsby - promoted
Halifax - relegated

I know we should have taken this competition seriously. This could so easily have been us playing the cods on Sunday. If we had beaten Bradford PA we would have gone onto play Nantwich, Stourbridge, Dover and Halifax. Not exactly difficult . Look at past history clubs have got promoted and got to the FA trophy in the same season York, Cambridge and Grimsby in last few years. We could not even take the competition seriously playing a second string at Bradford. hopefully with a new professional setup we can take this completion seriously in the future.

Dan did say at the forum, when asked about targets, did say he would like to do well in the trophy, so think we will take it more seriously. Although get the impression all games are important to them.

"We expect to win" was what DC said about any game! I like that attitude, indeed I love it!
