I can remember him being the one small highlight of a dreadful game against Rovrum at Don Valley about 10 years ago. Just googled and I think it was the first game of our relegation season. Carayol scored for us but we lost 2-1. We always lose to Rovrum. Hopefully we can fix that this season.

Nearly 33, hasn't played more than half a season since 2013-14. The 33 league games he played for Lincoln in our relegation season is still the best return of his career. Sounds like Evans is getting desperate for players despite his world-renowned coaching ability and personal charm.

I loved Bailey. His goal from his own half v Carlisle lives long in my memory. Peter Gain (who would have got in our side for the last five years) also scored an absolutely exquisite goal that game too.

Well worth the enormous trip.

...with his weaker right foot if I remember correctly? Great day out, that was.
